Getting started

The first step is always a consultation, which usually takes 60 to 90 minutes. During this time, I will ask you about your goals (or help you create them), answer your questions, and gather the necessary information in order to create your customized training plan.

Preparing to bring home a new dog? You may also choose to book a consultation before adopting a new dog or puppy, for guidance on choosing the right dog for your family and everything you need to know before day one with your new pup.

After the consultation, subsequent sessions will consist of private coaching, hands-on training, or a combination of the two, depending on your preferences and goals.

Private Coaching

I meet with you and your dog, but work mostly with you, teaching you how to work with your dog. Typically these sessions take place at your home, though we may choose to meet at other locations, depending on your training goals.

Hands-On Training

This is training where I work directly with your dog. I do most of the heavy lifting to achieve your training goals, and then teach you how to maintain the skills. These sessions are usually 30 to 60 minutes once or twice per week.

Rates

I charge hourly at $110/hour for consultations, coaching, and hands-on training. Book a three-session package after your consultation for 10% off the package. Book a second three-session package at any time, and you will keep your discount for all future sessions with me.

Please see my training page for specifics about the training methods that I employ.
